2. a volunteer educator.

 

Zoo volunteers have an interest in wild animals, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.  To become a docent, all you need to do is attend a Volunteer Orientation Session, fill out a Volunteer Application and return it to the Education Department with your training fee and attend Docent Training.

Trainings take place three times a year; March, June and September. 

 

Applications are available in the Zoo’s Visitor Center, Education Center and online.
