Scout Programs

The Salsibury Zoo offers a variety of opportunities for scouts to fulfill their badge or achievement requirements.

Early dismissal and teacher workdays are a great time for scouts to visit!

Day program

What: program that meets requirements for various badges and achievements

Where: Education Building
When: Wednesdays, Fridays and weekends
Time: Weekdays – 3:00 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. start times
Weekends – 10:00 a.m., 12:00p.m., or 2:00 p.m. start times
Cost: Varies by program.

Girl Scout Saturdays

What: program designed to meet specific badge requirements
Where: Salisbury Zoo
When: November 13, 2010
Time: Brownie - 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Junior - 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Cost: $10 per participant. No tag alongs allowed. Leader must accompany

participants.

Reservation is required by November 8, 2010.

Boy Scout Saturday

What: program designed to meet specific achievement requirements
Where: Salisbury Zoo
When: December 4, 2010
Time: TBD

Cost: $10 per participant. No tag alongs allowed. Leader must accompany

participants.

Reservation is required by November 29, 2010.

Wildlife Encounter Animal Presentation

What: presentation of three animals (a bird, mammal and reptile, but can be tailored to your topic of study).

Where: Education Stage

When: year round

Time: 9:30 - 4:00 daily. Approximately 30 minutes in length.

Cost: $60 for MD groups, $70 for out of state groups. maximum group size = 40.

Zoo2U presentation

What: presentation of four animals (a bird, mammal, amphibian and reptile, but can be tailored to your topic of study).

Where: Your location. Maximum group size = 40.

When: year round

Time: Determined at time of booking. Approximately 45 minutes in length.

Cost: $60 for Wicomico county, $100 for counties within 30 miles of the zoo, $150

for out of state groups. Other locations and pricing can be discussed.

ZooSNooZ

What: program that meets requirements for various badges and achievements.
Where: Salisbury Zoo
When: Friday and Saturday nights (other nights are based on booked programs)
Time: 6:00 p.m.-9:00 a.m.
Cost: $25 per participant, $250 minimum
